1250 km 32 degrees Equatorial run in 25 days from Bali to Jakarta, heat through the sultry and 75%

moisture, trans-Java buses, dodging trucks and breathe in masses of carbon monoxide - Sounds like your worst nightmare ? Just in case it can not be calculated for the first time, which is an average of 50 km per day, every day for 25 days, which is the equivalent of 30 back-to-back marathons. Are your legs begin to feel more like jelly? But just a super human being could accomplish such a feat.

Enter Scott Thompson. A blue-eyed Scotsman with a great mission to achieve this New Year. "I was looking for something extreme, greater than anything I had ever done before," Scott says me. "I did try the Sahara ultra marathon, which was thinking about maybe the Yukon Arctic Ultra Marathon 250 km through the Sahara desert. I called several hotels in Jakarta to ask if they put freezers with the available space within a treadmill, but the answer was not that great ... "Then the hundred-dollar bet for a run to Jakarta Bali Scott was presented at the office and from there head set.

Some may call him a fool-hearted, but I say brave. This run has not been done before, and crossed the finish line as Scott, he will be in the Guinness Book of Records with the fastest transit time between Bali and Jakarta. This mammoth run will begin in Denpasar Ngurah Rai airport on 8 March 2012 and to catch him for three days after the North Bali Straits ferry in Gilimanuk for the crossing to Banyuwangi Ketapang. On the ferry, he will not enjoy the sights and sounds like the other passengers. He will be running, either on site or near the ferry deck, finally the attention takes away from the sights and sounds of the passengers on the ferry! From Banyuwangi he will follow the road north and west over four Javanese provinces; East Java, Central Java, West Java and Jakarta.

The design for this race you are weak in the knees. Raising funds for disadvantaged children in Indonesia is driving force Scott and all funds raised will go to Mary cancer kiddies and Yayasan Cinta Anak Bangsa. "I'm trying to raise awareness of these large organizations, which, though small, do incredible work for children who need help the most."

This is a physically demanding and dangerous mission, but Scott has only the best support team behind him for the whole of this journey. Medic One sponsored have a paramedic with supplies, G4S provide the escort vehicle, Adidas are put on board for running shoes, Aqua and Mizone for hydrogenation and more sponsors in join. Until now, a running total of Rp.351,000,000 also has been raised for the charities and how this is a big run, let us make the donation huge. Scott and his followers will ask that you join this fantastic thing in supporting and commit as little or as much as you can to help the children.

The Briton Scott admits that he does not want to blow his own trumpet air and come across as cocky or over confident. "I do not mean this in a bad way, but that's the kind of thing North Americans are well done."

A good piece Confidence has to be involved to complete this journey. Is it even physically possible? Hazards include heat stroke, dehydration, severe blistering of the feet, rubbing, pulling or straining of muscles, as he'll be running on uneven terrain, avoid potholes and cars. As Scott the Sahara ultra marathon running, he lost 5 kg, this was only for 4 days. It is hard to imagine how much he 25 days to lose in the tropics!

"I know it will be a point where I ask myself:" Why am I doing this? "But as soon as it finished, I will only the good things about the experience relaxing, a burger and a beer, and remember"
