Inspirational adults are to make a difference in their communities pursuit from there. Inspiration teenagers are not so easy to get, and a certain 14-year-old in Jakarta has created a project that would make any parent proud, regardless of age. This young lady is doing everything they can to bring books for children on the island of Madura, which would otherwise have no access to reading material. This Girl Scout name is Mackenzie Winton and Girl Scout is they, through and through.

When you hear the term Girl Scout, one often thinks of girls biscuits for a good cause to sell, but it is far more than that. The girl Scout mission is girls of courage, confidence and character, of a better place and the Girl scouts in Indonesia are making for 50 years to build the world. For 10 years, Mackenzie has been passionate girl scouting, meeting fellow Scouts from around the world - to have this tradition practiced in the United States, Nigeria and now in Jakarta. the lack of educational resources in these countries this Jakarta International school student After I started on her Girl Scout Gold Award work firsthand, the highest award in USA Girl Scouting, including a seven-step process culminated a community problem to solve and to make a lasting and sustainable change.

Mackenzie demeanor is calm and collected even enthusiastically. "I knew that I wanted to be a teacher when I, since I was three years old growing up," Mackenzie says me as we chat ends after school. Mackenzie book moves through their school runs, and with the help of other schools has been 3,700 books collected, 1,000 of which are in Bahasa Indonesia . Nearly 100 Girl Scouts participated in read-a-thons, bake sales and coin collections to support the library project. Your goal is to collect many more books in Bahasa for the children in the Lombang municipality, near the town of Sumenep on the eastern side of Madura. Mackenzie wants to fill their library with interesting and instructive reading for the children of the village and the surrounding area, so that they give a window on the world and a chance for a better future. The Madura Library Project is in connection running with and through, Leksmono Santoso from remote destinations, a travel company supports in showing guests the remote parts of Indonesia specialized. Mackenzie also has massive support from her mentor, Linda Hahn Santoso, Ed.D of Destiny Learning, an initiative that helps the educational needs of children. Funds were raised to build by donations from individuals and families, and Mackenzie, the library has been overwhelmed by the response and the generosity of their supporters.

Mackenzie traveled to meet the families of the villagers, where it stands now Library to Madura.
