Wondrous. Other worldly. Wow what. For a whale of a time Welcome to W Hotel, Seminyak, Bali, a place where wishes come true. This immense 8 hectare resort has been developing not an easy task, and it is one of those places that you say make "People are pretty smart, really." What a wonderful world.
Entering into this playground is with a capital 'D' dramatically - a giant W located before a long trip on both sides between a water feature, then by gardens, the impressive to the main building face and a lobby lead. The main building itself reminds me of a modern Colosseum, but inspired by gladiators and wild animals facing balconies on the beach side overlooking the WET pool, by the shape of rice fields and over 1,70 sq. Meters, where guests lounge, sip cocktails and enjoy life by the waves on the beach in Seminyak crashes. What more do you want? Wait, there is
Service with a capital W is better, what you get here -. It is second to none. The staff are very professional and speak English very well, and we even spoke to one of the pool boys who sounded like he had been educated at an international school. Our concierge asked us how we were, and called us by our first names. Inside the elevator lights fade in and out, you throw for the first time, but is a cool little feature to the rest of the time. The corridors are all open to the wind and a bit naff, but it adds to the size of the place. If the friendly porter accompanied us to our room, he turned on the Bose surround sound system and Empire of the Sun greeted us on the stereo. If this is not enough to tell you, this is a hip place, I do not know what is.
Spectacular Ocean Facing Retreat
The names of the rooms at the W. are wow Ours was the Spectacular oceanview Retreat from the 3 rd floor overlooking the sea and the west gardens below. The retreat is large, green with a water theme, Bali surrounding sea view simulated - the white cotton bedcover hand sewn with leaves which resemble beaded hanging lamps side fishing nets and headboards are made embossed of synthetic leather in green Stingray skin. Although the retreat is very modern, there is a vintage feel in green sofa and retro carpet. Everything is thought. The room has his and her closets, an additional cosmetic mirror, sockets three-pin, a snack basket containing a single-use underwater camera and glasses, make-up remover, face wash, Earl Grey and English Breakfast tea and not instant coffee (I was beside myself!).
There is no door to the bathroom area, made with transparent glass toilet, his and her water green sink and an open-topped wet room, separated only by a glass panel, with large slate bathtub and shower, so if you are not familiar with someone shy or stay, it can be uncomfortable. However, there are sliding panels cleverly hidden, which can separate the bedroom from the bathroom area you need privacy.
After retreating check-out, we threw on our bikinis and hit the pool. Pool boys greet you with "Hello, how are you?" And provide our towels to take for us to find the perfect place, lounge. You take care of our every whim, keeping us on the way to entertain. From our small spot, I realize that W is not just a hotel, it is a tourist attraction. Each person who comes from the lobby on the upper deck posing for a photograph, and I mean every single person! As the sun begins to set, the DJ spins at Woobar Progressive House and the lights are lit, creating a whole new atmosphere. Pool boy make electric candles on each table and kiss pillow.
